Regional data & playbooks

Decarbonization is regional. So is the data.

Concrete is poured within about an hour of where it is mixed. A national average cannot tell you whether a threshold is achievable in your basin, what it will cost, or which plants can pour it. So we build the picture region by region, and the playbook that turns it into procurement.

The data set for a region.

Seven layers, assembled from the Concrete Terminal for any market we are asked about.

    Plant and capability map

Every ready-mix and cement plant in the haul radius, with operator, ownership type, and whether it can run slag, fly ash or calcined clay today.

    Carbon benchmark

The GWP distribution for the region against the market average, so a threshold can be set where supply actually sits rather than where a national average implies.

    SCM availability

Slag, fly ash, natural pozzolans, calcined clay and PLC, by what is genuinely obtainable in the basin and what is closing.

    Delivered price

Cement and SCM pricing per ton for the region, plus the binder index, so a green premium can be argued from numbers rather than assertion.

    Demand outlook

Building permits and project pipeline turned into forward concrete volume and strength mix, so producers can size a capacity decision.

    Policy and compliance

Buy Clean status, active and pending thresholds, and whether the local supply chain can meet them without a price shock or a failed bid.

    Environmental justice profile

Who lives beside the plants, so a siting or retrofit decision can be made with the community impact visible rather than discovered later.

    Your region

Tell us the market and we will assemble these seven layers for it.

    Request a region

    The playbooks.

What to do with the data once you have it. Both are written for the person who has to put a number in a specification and defend it.

    City Playbook

For a municipality writing procurement it has to live with.

    • Map the plants inside the city haul radius and what they can actually pour
    • Set a threshold the local supply chain can meet, with the headroom shown
    • Specification language that survives contact with a bid
    • A coalition model for getting producers to the table before the rule lands

    State Playbook

For an agency setting policy across many markets at once.

    • Basin-by-basin supply analysis rather than a single statewide number
    • Where the SCM supply is constrained, and what the threshold should be there
    • Phase-in schedules matched to when capacity can realistically exist
    • Tracking that shows whether the policy is moving tons or moving paperwork

Which market are you working in?

Name it and we will tell you what can be poured there today, what it costs, and what a credible threshold looks like.
